1. Raptors, bosses.
2. No, and you'll hear about them when they come out.

Yes ppl will QQ but its completely unwarranted because:
a) SF needs a nerf, its too good.
b) People are asking for the nerf
When it gets nerfed (and hopefully it wont be massacred), lets see if its possible to not have a million QQ threads pop up.

The question is, how can a skill which induces godmode defense not be massacred in a nerf?
As for farming, Raptors are quite awesome. And if SF gets nerfed, 'Sins can't farm as easily as normal, aswell as the fact that if it was you'll get an uprising of QQ. It won't get nerfed anyway.

What was ANet thinking when they put Shadow Form in the game in the first place? It was essentially a farming skill when Factions came out. No one would ever use it in combat, 50 health ftl.

Some skills cannot be used in any situation but farming its how the game is designed. Not all skills can be completely versatile and be used in both PvE general and PvP general.

Some might remember WM's second match against EvIL summer 2006. See this article here. That has been the only time I can remember Expunge Enchantments ever being used. More recently there'd been alot of QQing over a team of lame perma SF sins causing its PvE/PvP split. So yes, it has been used in PvP albeit as a gimmick.
As for the reason it was implemented, looking over some other skills like the original Shadow Refuge/Dark Escape it seems that Anet did intend to give Assassins some survivability in the Shadow Arts line but ultimately failed because casters could utilize the same skills too easily.
